Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
M-Astro is operated by Markaroo Solutions (“we”, “us”). This policy explains how M-Astro handles your information. In short: we do not store your personal data, and everything is calculated privately in your browser.
What we collect and store
Nothing. M-Astro has no user accounts, no database, and no advertising or analytics cookies. The birth details you enter (date, time, place, and optionally your name and gender) are used only on your own device to produce your result, and are discarded when you close or refresh the page. We never receive, save, sell or share them.
The one external request
To turn a birthplace into map coordinates, the place name you type is sent to the Photon geocoding service (which uses OpenStreetMap data). Only that place text is sent — never your name, date or time of birth. If you choose a suggestion from the place box, only the place name and its coordinates are used.
Name and gender
These are optional. If provided, they are used only to personalise the wording of your on-screen result, in your browser. They are never stored or transmitted.
Shareable links
If you use the “Share link” button, the link you copy contains the birth details you entered so the page can recreate your result. That information lives only inside the link — we do not receive it — but you should only share the link with people you trust.
Cookies and tracking
We use no cookies and no third-party tracking or advertising. Your browser may keep small interface preferences on your own device; these never leave your browser.
Children
M-Astro is a general-interest entertainment site, is not directed at children, and knowingly collects no information from anyone.
Your rights and contact
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete on our side. For any privacy question, contact us at markaroosolutions@gmail.com. We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above.
Data sources
Location search is powered by Photon and © OpenStreetMap contributors. Star positions use the Yale Bright Star Catalog; Sun, Moon and planet positions are computed with the open-source astronomy-engine library.
